Bus Stop Films, Accessible Film Studies Curriculum

Education

An academic curriculum designed to teach film studies to people who face barriers to traditional educational models, curriculums and environments.

Over 18 months I developed a curriculum using my knowledge gained from teaching film studies to people with intellectual disability, mental health issues and standard English skills. The curriculum’s pedagogy and content was developed in consultation with the Australian Film Television and Radio School and Professor Robyn Ewing AM of Sydney University.

The curriculum is currently housed on an online platform and governs our accessible film studies program at Bus Stop Films and is licenced to the Mongolian Council of the Arts. The curriculum is subject to updates and changes as the Bus Stop Films team grows and develops new programs and teaching methodologies.
